50 loves trouble.
Since 2003, 50 Cent has built up a reputation for being a motormouth. His fearlessness and brash attitude has always been both loved and hated by his fans and adversaries. It’s what made him popular in the mainstream. To this day, 50’s penchant for running his mouth is still appreciated, especially when his antics trickle down through social media. Well, one country wasn’t too happy with 50’s unfiltered mouth over the weekend and decided to make him pay for his actions.
50 Cent gets arrested in St. Kitts
This past Saturday night (June 25), 50 Cent landed himself in hot water overseas after he used “indecent language” during his performance in Saint Kitts. Because of his potty mouth, 50 was arrested and taken to the courthouse for his crude behavior. Considering that foul language is virtually a cardinal sin in St. Kitts, 50 was lucky to get off with a reprimand for his actions.
50’s word of choice was…
Motherf*cker! The rapper uttered the word several times during his performance of “P.I.M.P.” While that would have been deemed ok stateside, foul language is banned in St. Kitts. What makes the story surprising is that 50 was warned prior to his performance that he wouldn’t be allowed to curse. So it was not unexpected that saying the word in front of 40,000 concertgoers got him in trouble.
50 Cent’s spokeswoman speaks
Even though 50 had to surrender his travel documents, he was granted permission to return home to the states. His representatives spoke on his behalf about the incident. “Mr. Jackson was only booked to host the show,” explained spokeswoman, Amanda Ruisi. “When he arrived at the festival, organizers asked him to perform, he obliged, and used the DJ they had there. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the clean version to his tracks, so there were profanities used during his performance. The show was a great success, and he will make sure for future trips to St. Kitts that he leaves the ‘motherf*****s’ in the United States.”
