It's getting real between these two.
50 Cent may be the king of having the most running beefs with other rappers at any given time. In fact, he’s probably fighting with five people right now alone, but some of them seem to get under his skin more than others. While some keep it pretty civil, there are others who are always ready to say exactly what they feel.
When it comes to 50 Cent and Irv Gotti, who have been going at each other’s necks for such a long time, it’s drifting further and further from the music and the press and more and more into petty, personal issues.
Irv has a lot to call 50 Cent out for, so 50 Cent is firing back.
How long have 50 and Irv been fighting? It almost seems like it’s impossible to remember because it stretches back so far.
Some rap beefs seem to start with artistic differences. One person will diss another person’s music, and then it will escalate, but it’s more often about aesthetics, beats, performances, or the public eye.
When it comes to 50 Cent and Irv Gotti, it’s more serious. They bring each other’s legal receipts, family members, and street cred into the debate.
50 Cent Goes In
You never know what’ll set someone off, but it’s a pretty safe bet that if you go after someone’s girl, they’re not going to be happy.
That was a calculated risk 50 Cent took when he fired shots at Irv’s girl, Ashley Martelle.
When Irv posted a picture of them in a car together, 50 Cent commented, “LOL you in love with a call girl, shorty was one of Taz angels. Smh and you just kiss her in the mouth. you gotta get your life together Sucker.”
To be fair, 50 Cent made this comment right after Irv had gone off on him on The Breakfast Club, a popular radio show based out of New York. In classic Irv fashion, it got a little too real.
Apparently, Irv takes issue with people getting the law involved instead of dealing with them one-on-one. In this video interview, he makes it clear that he doesn’t agree with the way that 50 Cent handled some of his personal issues.
