A 50 Cent show got a little too live. The rapper was performing at Miami club when he leapfrogged from the stage into the DJ booth, breaking $1,000 worth of equipment.
“[50 Cent] jumped from the speaker to a VIP table and to the top of the DJ booth, he landed right on the mixer,” an unnamed source told The Daily Mail. “It was seamlessly replaced, and his show continued.”
Ryan Van Milligen, the owner of the Ora nightclub, said that the 50 performance was worth the broken equipment.
“The broken mixer was worth every penny,” he told Page Six. “He’s welcome to come back and jump on our DJ equipment anytime. He literally brought down the house – no pun intended!”
It’s good to see that 50 still has wild shows in him. In recent months, he’s been better known for his petty Instagram posts and various beefs than for music. He’s recently gone after Wendy Williams and his own son in Instagram posts, celebrating Williams fainting and his last child support payment respectively.
On the day that his son turned 18, he celebrated his child support payments ending with a post on Instagram.
“Child support release party Friday 13, Club Lust 1:00 AM Happy Hour drinks on me. Tom petty is alive !!!” he wrote. “Ladies with no kids, Free Admission 😆 Ladies who didn’t collect child support, Free Admission.”
But he’s not running off at the mouth without other people spouting back. The post got back to Fif’s son, who engaged with his dad over social media. Outside of his own family, his rap beefs have carried over into social media as well. Irv Gotti still claps at 50 from time to time.
“Let it be known. 50 Central was the worst premiered show in BET all year [sic],” Gotti said in an Instagram post that has since been deleted. “Both that and the show before it combined to be the worst premieres for BET all year.”
He added that 50 was beat up by his people and ran to police in an interview with The Breakfast Club.
“The guy who’s claiming to be the roughest, toughest… You got beat up and poked up and you ran to the precinct pressed charges on us, and, the really death blow, you took out an order of protection,” Irv said. “That’s like s–t your baby mama does! … That’s women’s s–t!”
A Different Image
50, of course hit back. But apparently the rapper wasn’t always so mean. Vivica A. Fox said that the rapper used to be a “teddy bear” in the days that they dated. In an interview with Sisters Circle, she said that the rapper was a gentleman and tried to keep her during that time. She spilled:
“He was young and it was new. I think I was at a new part of my career as well. And he was just so romantic and so kind. He’s very old fashioned. And I wish I knew now how to treat a man like that then what I knew then. Because I thought when we were dating younger that he wanted a partner and what he really wanted was to take care of me and I didn’t know that.”
