4. Fake Award

In 2002 Britney Spears welcomed MJ onstage to wish the epic performer a happy 44th birthday. However, during her speech Britney referenced Michael as being “the artist of the millennium.” A confused Mr. Jackson made his way onstage and thought that “The Artist of the Millennium” was the name of an award he was receiving. Subsequently, he delivered a gracious speech accepting the fake award, which Jack Black went on to parody the following year. Awkward.
