Drake catches a lot of heat in hip-hop for various reasons, but the rapper was involved in a dope charitable effort last year. After hearing about Principal Linda Cliatt-Wayman’s leadership and tough love efforts to offer students a better future Strawberry Mansion High School, Drizzy donated a $75K recording studio in the Philadelphia school. The ‘6 God’ originally met with school members in October 2013 and promised them the gift, while also sharing kind words of wisdom:

“This is about you. This is about your principal. This is about your future I love you. I care about you. I want to see you succeed.”

The record breaking mc’s OVO team trooped to Philly over the summer in 2014 to finish building the studio, and now students finally have access to the equipment. Find out more via The Huffington Post.
