The DeLorean, the car used as the time machine in the movie, has made multiple appearances in the music videos of rappers from today. While Rockie Fresh used the vehicle for his “Into The Future” visuals, Fabolous took things a step even further, featuring not just the DeLorean in his “You Made Me” visuals, but also dressed up like Marty McFly when he visited the future. He even sported the classic Nike shoes that Marty wore, which were self-lacing when one pressed a button on the side. Kid Cudi has even referred numerous times to the same shoes, sharing how they have inspired him as an artist, copping a pair that he wore on Conan once during a guest appearance.

While many of the futuristic ideas from the Back To The Future sequel have not come to fruition there are a few that seem to be closer than anything else. While Marty McFly was flying around the city on his hover board, which replaced his actual skateboard, we are getting closer now with the new sky boards taking over the nation. Although the sky boards don’t hover, they do replace walking for many people, and just about every hip hop star has been spotted using one, with Chris Brown even doing dance routines on it. Even Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj rode one together in their “All Eyes On You” music video earlier this year. Although the day will come and go, the hype around Back To The Future will stay pretty prominent, especially in hip hop culture.
