Hell Rell, also known as Ruga Rell, is a rapper from The Bronx, New York and part of The Diplomats, also known as Dipset. He joined Dipset after his friend and fellow rapper Luca Brasi showed one of Rell’s freestyles to Cam’ron, to which he responded positively. Cam started bringing Rell to recording sessions and making music with him before Rell revealed that he had to serve time. Cam assured him that he would support him once he got out, which he did. However, Rell still sold drugs once he was released.

In 2004, Rell released his first solo mixtape, Fire & Ice. In 2007, Rell signed with Koch Records and released his debut album, For the Hell of It. Since then, he has released an extensive body of work, working closely with members of The Diplomats as well as J.R. Writer, J. Stalin, and Yung J.B.
