Born Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, Future hails from Atlanta, Georgia. He first stepped onto the music scene with The Dungeon Family where they nicknamed him "The Future." In 2010 and 2011, he released mixtapes before being signed a major record deal with Epic Records and A1 Recordings. From that, came his own label imprint, Freebandz.
In April 2012, he released his debut album, Pluto and in April 2014, released his second album, Honest. Honest exceeded Pluto on the charts, going certified Gold.
From then, Future released three mixtapes, Monster (2014), Beast Mode (2015), and 56 Nights (2015). He then released a few albums, DS2 (2015), What a Time to Be Alive (2015, in collaboration with Drake), Evol (2016), Future (2017), and Hndrxx (2017), all debuting at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200.
In October 2013, Future proposed to singer Ciara, and on May 19, 2014, the couple welcomed their only son, Future Zahir Wilburn. But due to Future's fidelity, Ciara called off the engagement in August 2014.
In 2016, Ciara, along with another one of Future's baby's mama's (he has a total of four), sued Future for child support.
