Doza The Drum Dealer

Doza the Drum Dealer is a brooklyn born producer and songwriter. His musical style isn't limited to one genre in fact it can best be described as a hybrid sound. He takes the trunk rattling 808's of today's music and blends them with old school samples and breakbeats bridging the gap between the originators and the innovators. His influences include DJ Premiere, The RZA, PeteRock, Easy Mo Bee and Havoc of Mobb Deep. His style of sampling uses the chops like instruments creating original melodies out Of single notes.

His rhyme scheme is also a hybrid between lyricism and cadence. Doza is fully capable of adjusting his flow and finding the pocket to rock over boom bap or trap beats. His musical background comes from his father who was a timbalero and a congero. He learned to play from his father and was hooked from an early age. Doza was playing with a high school band while only in the 4th grade.

Unfortunately due to legal trouble Doza was forced to take a hiatus from what he loved but is now back and working at a feverish pace teaming up with his rap trio "The Narcotechs" which also includes several features from AG the Coroner. Doza has released 3 studio albums under this moniker titled "The Narcotechs" (self titled) , "Soulfrito" & more recently "TRES". He also released 2 solo projects entirely self produced titled "M.J.L.A.R" (Mostly Just Loops and Raps) and "Doza's Worst Week Ever" in under 2 years. Also Producing the "Medellin" remix featuring Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan.
