Going through a breakup is never an easy thing, especially when it’s in the public eye. Ariana Grande and Mac Miller have felt both support and backlash since their decision to go separate ways. A commenter took to Twitter the other day and tweeted, “Mac Miller totalling [sic] his G wagon and getting a DUI after Ariana Grande dumped him for another dude after he poured his heart out on a ten song album to her called the divine feminine is just the most heartbreaking thing happening in Hollywood.”
The 26-year-old rapper did, in fact, get arrested last week after his hit-and-run incident while driving under the influence. Mac Miller blew an alarming .15 — almost twice the .08 legal limit on the scene. According to sources, he has been spiralling downhill ever since the breakup with his ex.

Ariana Grande took the tweet rather offensive and commented back, “how absurd that you minimize female self-respect and self-worth by saying someone should stay in a toxic relationship because he wrote an album about them, which btw isn’t the case (just Cinderella is ab me). I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be.”
Allegedly, his relapse and issues with sobriety were major red flags in their relationship. Grande still has much empathy for Miller and wishes him the best. “I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety & prayed for his balance for years (and always will of course) but shaming/blaming women for a man’s inability to keep his sh*t together is a very major problem. I will continue to pray from the bottom of my heart that he figures it all out and that any other woman in this position does as well.”
