Wale just dropped The Album About Nothing and sat down with Billboard to explain his creative process while making the project. According to the DMV based rapper, he feels like he’s slept on in hip-hop, which led to his questionable actions.

I was depressed not being where I wanna be in my career when Ive put the work in. I wasnt sleeping. I was drinking all day and I didnt have anyone to go to. I couldnt fight it. Those are some of the demons I talk about on the album.

The rapper continued to rant about his lack of respect from hip-hop fans and publications. Do you think he’s slept on?

Wale talks about being depressed, taking pills, and drinking all day while making “The Album About Nothing” because he doesn’t get the respect he deserves in an interview with Billboard. Do you consider the MMG rapper slept on?
