Rain couldn’t stop the mayhem that ensued this past Sunday (June 5) at HOT 97’s Summer Jam. After the last day of the Governor’s Ball was axed due to threats of thunderstorms, Kanye West hopscotched his way to Jersey to link up with his G.O.O.D. Music brethren in hopes of delivering a scintillating performance. After killing his set, Kanye craved more. He headed to New York in hopes of giving one last performance to his rabid fans who had missed him. Sadly, he couldn’t fulfill his wish and is now working in conjunction with the mayor to right the wrongs done by the weather.

On Sunday, Kanye tried to cajole Mayor de Blasio into allow him to orchestrate a full-fledge concert in the wee morning at NYC club Webster Hall. West attempted to call de Blasio in hopes of having a “party outside,” but sadly, the event was cancelled. Fortunately, de Blasio offered an alternative.
