Miguel just dropped his new album Wildheart and while promoting the rock-n-roll infused project, he dissed a rival singer. Frank Ocean who, like Miguel, stands at the forefront of today’s trendy modern alternative RnB, was the victim of subliminal disses by the latter.
When asked about his relationship with Frank Ocean, who beat Miguel out for a Grammy in 2013, the “Coffee” singer responded:
“To be completely honest—and no disrespect to anyone—I genuinely believe that I make better music, all the way around.”
He continued to diss his competitors by saying “but we’ll see who’s in it for the long haul. It’s like a marathon, you know” in reference to The Weeknd and Frank Ocean. With the former Odd Future crooner rumored dropping an album in the near future, we’re excited to see how he responds.
