Rappers Who Threw Shade At The Grammy’s

The Grammy’s is the biggest night in music, but with that title for an event also comes controversy when it comes to the nominations, as well as the winners. Even though there have been disappointments and surprises in all categories over the years, it seems as though hip hop has been the most outraged with the carryout of the genre throughout history. In recent years, a few artists have made sure to throw a lot of shade at the awards, and board, and this year is even no different.

There was false advertising recently that said that Drizzy was set to perform at the awards show, but when he revealed that he was not performing, he gave a quick little “it’s the thought that counts” comment that seemed to be flattery mixed with some shade. We wouldn’t mind a Drake performance, and he knows it.

Kanye West has a lengthy history of acting weird towards award shows, and the year his Yeezus album was nominated was definitely a year of him snapping. He didn’t even show up to the awards on purpose, despite being nominated.
