Vogue Magazine sat down with newly-single beauty Nicki Minaj and touched upon a wide variety of topics. During the interview, the femcee discusses her creative process while recording The Pinkprint, feminism, being inspired by Lauryn Hill, her legacy as a female rapper, dating Meek Mill and much more. We compiled some of our favorite quotes below, but you can read the full interview here.

While I was doing the album I listened to a lot of Bob Marley songs and I love his approach on relationships. I love that he kind of just was able to speak about painful situations but in a very relatable way. Im very inspired by Lauryn [Hill]s honesty on Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. But my album doesnt sound like anyone elses album. Even the production, it just sounds like my own thing.

Youve been looking cozy with [rapper] Meek Mill on Instagram, and people are saying that you two are dating. Is he a part of the fun youre having?
Sometimes we hang out, and when we hang out, we have fun. [laughs] This is what I want to say about him: People think for some strange reason that we just started becoming friends recently. Weve been friends for a very, very long time, and hes been around for a lot of things that Ive gone through. And thats all Ill say about that.
