Lil Uzi Vert is feeling the pain of missing his headlining spot last Sunday night. The Philly rapper was on his way to the Santa Teresa Festival in Quebec when he had a few issues crossing the Canadian border. It’s still unclear why customs denied him and the crew access into the country, but it left him no choice except to cancel the show.

Lil Uzi Vert was understandably upset over his absence at the festival, taking to Instagram Live to stream his thoughts on the matter. He stated, “They didn’t let me in Canada today. I can’t believe they didn’t let me in Canada today.” The rapper was legitimately trying his best to make it to the show on time even with his busy city-to-city schedule. “I went to Canada trying to be good. I could have went my ass to the Billboard awards.”

With the intention to reach his international fans, he ended up missing the Billboard Music Awards as well. This was an incredible year for his career, landing him 3 nominations all in separate categories.

“Could’ve threw some drip on.”

Lil Uzi Vert has in the past been given the reputation of skipping a few of his shows. The Canadian audience were more than a little disappointed after hearing the cancellation announcement, vandalizing the stage that he was set to perform on.
