We recently told you that Kendrick Lamar’s first sneaker with Reebok, the “Neutral” ventilators were releasing soon and its design was inspired by bringing unity amongst rival gangs, the Bloods and the Crips. Using a pair of Nike Air Max 1s as the base, one fan took K dots unification concept one step further by draping each toe box in alternating blue and red paisley prints.
The custom sneakers, to us, aren’t as subtle as the Reebok joints, however, the message in unifying opposing gangs is clearly communicated. The shoes tounge tags feature “i” which, if you don’t already know, is a reference to Lamar’s controversial cover art for the single.
What are your thoughts on these less subtle, Kendrick Lamar Reebok Ventilator custom Air Max 1’s? Would you wear this?
