If you’re a K. Michelle fan, then you know all about a lot of her up’s and down’s to get where she is today. Unfortunately, outside of a bad record deal years ago, a lot of her hardship has come from the men that she has dated, and the heartbreak following. Fortunately for fans, however, it’s also given them some of the best music from the Memphis singer. K. Michelle has made it clear that she is an open book, and has bravely name-dropped some of these heartbreakers on her songs, and we decided to take a look back at the legacy that they are now part of.

On K.’s sophomore album, Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart, the crooner name-dropped a fair amount of people on her “Build A Man” introduction. R. Kelly used to be her mentor and song-writing partner, and the two never confirmed if they were actually dating, but K. sure made it seem that way when she sang on the track, “There was Kellz/He adored me/Loved to hear me sing/But control me.”

K. Michelle didn’t exactly drop J.R.’s name directly on a track, however, she did reveal that her song “Million Hearts” was, in fact, about the NBA star, as they once had a fling back in 2012 that eventually didn’t end too well.
