Young Thug is an interesting character. The 25-year-old rapper from Atlanta, Georgia has been on the rise for the past few years, and after his numerous mixtape releases, he finally dropped his first album. The fans and critics love it, and it’s a great compilation of songs. However, all the praise might be getting to his head, and he may have sent out a tweet that he’ll end up regretting later on.
On His High Horse
Young Thug must be really feeling good about himself after he released his debut album Beautiful Thugger Girls. While people are giving him high praise for the album, no one is giving him higher praise than himself.
If there are any rappers out there that are thinking about comparing themselves to the legendary Tupac Shakur, you probably shouldn’t. It’s almost never a good idea. Check that, it’s NEVER a good idea.
Thugger got on Twitter and tweeted out: “I dropped E.B.B.T.G. on 2PAC’s bday because I’m the #NewPac. I feel like I’m the thug he didn’t get to become.”
Not only is that some super high self praise, but he even implied that he was already better than Tupac at this stage in his career. He added the hashtag “#SoImGoinFinishWhatHeStarted.” Maybe he knows something that we don’t, but we definitely wouldn’t put him in the same sentence as Tupac.
Fans dragged him left and right for the statement, but nothing was crazier than what YFN Lucci said.
“Pac would’ve never wore a dress,” he tweeted. It was obviously directed at Young Thug, who has been known to sport dresses every now and then; he even rocks one on the cover of his mixtape Jeffery.
