Say it Ain't So!
Like any rapper, Yo Gotti has some serious ties to his hometown. Rappers from all across the world love to rep where they were raised, and it’s a very important thing to be able to be proud of where you came from. Unfortunately for Gotti, it seems like he might not be able to go back and visit anytime soon. The authorities at his hometown have made a decision that might prevent him from ever going back to where he was born…
Mario “Yo Gotti” Mims was born in Memphis Tennessee, and he’s held connections to the city ever since. He’s got tons of memories from his hometown, and he even started his rap career at the young age of 14 there.
The 36-year-old rapper has been dealing with some struggles lately, and now he’s being hit with a big letter that was sent to his lawyer. After he read this letter, his heart must have dropped…
Gotti received word from his lawyer that there was a letter he received in the mail saying that he wasn’t allowed to ever return to the Ridgecrest Apartments, or he would be arrested. Gotti’s jaw must have hit the floor after hearing that, but it doesn’t seem like the law will be able to keep him away from his home anytime soon.
Gotti took to Instagram to voice how he really felt:
“I got this letter from my lawyer Monday… Sayin if I come back to my hood #RidgecrestApt I will be arrested every time… no matter what I go for, to visit, videos, ride thru, anything… No matter how succesful you become they still always wanna attach you to bullsh*t! So f**k it I said them get ready my bond money ready, my lawyer ready… and I decided to dedicate my show to my hood tonight.”
