We all know that there are some, okay, maybe few, athletes who have a nice, lyrical flow. But what about the other way around? Have you ever wondered which of your favorite rappers got skills on the field? Some of your faves were active athletes once upon a time. And they were good too! I’m talking so good, they were star players and even received full-blown scholarships to college. For most of them, their passion lay in music. So, instead of scoring high on the board, they’re now scoring high on the charts.
Wale played for Robert Morris University and Virginia State University, where he had football scholarships. He then transferred to Bowie State University, but dropped out due to academic reasons.
Rozay was an offensive lineman for HBCU Albany State University, where he had a football scholarship.
Schoolboy Q attended multiple colleges before settling at West Los Angeles College, where he played for the Oilers.
