Times are really getting heavy
Last week, the multiple cases of police brutality caught on film impacted the entire nation, with the minority community now seeking answers, change, and justice. While millions are working together to protest, raise awareness, and change the system, some celebrities are stepping up to try and help in any way they can. Since tensions are higher than ever, some conflict seems to be inevitable as everyone has different perspective on change. Tyrese recently had to play peacekeeper at a panel discussion between two hip hop stars who lost their cool with each other.
Tensions are at an all-time high around the country
Alton Sterling and Philando Castile were both killed at the hands of police officers just one day apart last week. The killings sparked tons of outrage across the country, as millions came together to protest and seek answers for the injustices. Many are using social media platforms to raise awareness on the issues, which includes countless celebrities.
‘Real Stategy For Change’
This week, many big names gathered for a panel discussion in Atlanta, which included the likes of 2 Chainz, Jeezy, Dr. Bernice King, and Rickey Smiley. While David Banner and Lyfe Jennings were part of the panel, the two got into a very heated argument, that quickly escalated into a confrontation. While Banner was encouraging the community to force the police to face financial or even physical ramifications for their actions, Jennings was upset at his message to the people.
Tyrese broke up the dispute between the two
While Banner started throwing low blows at the singer, addressing him as a bad gather to his daughter, Tyrese tried to intervene as best as he could. Being that he was sitting in between the two on the panel, he was able to keep them at a further distance so that they could not touch each other.
