Can Tyga afford to pay that much?
It’s been said by some that Tyga took too much of a break over the last two or three years; he was living in a state of distraction showing off his lavish lifestyle on social media. But times have changed for him. Tyga is refocused on becoming the biggest name in hip hop. We love his newfound enthusiasm, but his past is coming back to bite him hard. In fact, it’s going to take a big chunk out of his wallet. Can Tyga man-up and handle the pressure, or will he fade away into obscurity?
Ever since breaking up with Kylie Jenner earlier this year, Tyga has been trying to get his career back on track for his own sake. When you’re dating one of the richest women on the face of the Earth, you can definitely be tempted to slack on your responsibilities if she’s floating the bill for everything. That may be why she decided to end things between them. She said that she needed her space because things were just too intense for her.
Tyga recently ended his deal with Cash Money Records, and he released his fifth album B**chImTheS**t2 in July. His fans seem to be loving this new effort because Tyga is really pouring his heart and soul into it. To promote his work, he created a video for the song “My Way” showing Tyga hanging with his biggest fans and cutting up in the studio.
Not everything has been going well for the young rapper though. He’s got to pay up, and it may cost him more money than he’s making right now.
Tyga was being sued by his former management company C&J Management for a huge $4 million. They claim that they made him what he is, and he wasn’t right in firing them in 2013. They claim that they were screwed out of their commissions. Tyga kept saying that this just wasn’t right, so the courts gave him a break.
Tyga agreed to paying the company a smaller amount to the tune of $1.5 million. Fortunately, he can pay that amount in installments. Firstly, he’s got to put down $250,000 within ten days of the ruling, then pay four installments of $137,500. His final payment of $700,000 will be due on June 1, 2019.
Hopfully Tyga will be able to raise this money all by himself. If he can’t, his new label Last Kings Records will bail him out.
Kylie has happily moved onto Travis Scott, and she shows no signs of wanting to take Tyga back. Tyga has been seeing a new little honey named Kamilla Osman, who looks oddly like Kylie’s older sister Kim Kardashian. They’ve been spotted together throughout the month of September, having dinner and driving around in his Bugatti.
Perhaps Tyga was just trying to get with Kim the whole time, despite the fact that she is married to his producer Kanye West. There’s definitely one thing we’ve noticed, Tyga seems to be smiling a lot more these days.
