He might have a hair-Trigga temper
Trey Songz is accused of striking a woman at a party over the All-Star Weekend. According to TMZ, a woman filed a police report claiming that Trigga hit her in the face at a party in the Hollywood Hills.
According to the outlet’s summary of events, Trey smacked the woman in an argument after getting upset that she was speaking to another man at the party. The website claims that the woman left the party to visit the hospital and spoke to police soon thereafter.
They go on to say that the L.A. City Attorney’s office is looking into the incident to see if charges are warranted. Trey Songz has yet to respond to the story.
Unfortunately for Songz, he’s has been involved in situations like this in the past. He was sued for $50,000 after a woman alleged that he smacked her phone into her face when she attempted to take a picture of him outside of a show.
Via our reporting at the time:
“When the woman approached Songz outside the club to take a photo, she says that Songz attacked her. In the lawsuit, she claims that Songz smacked her phone into her face and broke her glasses.
She’s suing both Songz and the venue for $50,000. She says that VGC created a risky situation by creating the event because they knew Songz tended ‘toward violence and negative interaction with the public.’”
With those kind of stories and a disturbing the peace charge in his past, it doesn’t look good for Songz.
Songz’s alleged dust-up wasn’t the only scuffle happening in and around All-Star Weekend. A video showing a man who looked suspiciously like Twista holding another man in a headlock so that he could be punched repeatedly also came out of the event.
Fully outside of the All-Star Weekend glow in Venice, a shooting occurred at an album release party for Nipsey Hussle’s latest Victory Lap. An argument in the parking lot of the World on Wheels boiled over to the point of gunfire erupting at the scene.
One man was hit in the thigh and police arrived at the scene quickly. However, they failed to identify a suspect when the man who was shot declined to cooperate with the police investigation.
Nipsey himself wasn’t on scene when the shooting went down. He was across town performing with YG for an All-Star Weekend concert and cancelled his plans to drop by the party after the shooting went down.
That a shooting happened at the event is ironic considering the uplifting themes of the record being celebrated.
“Everybody is driven by what fuel? We are driven by inspiration. The money will pay for inspiration. People buy drugs to be inspired, to be stimulated. People pay for experiences to be inspired,” he told the Rap Radar podcast of the work. “So, if you could put that in a bottle and know the strategy behind your creativity is not getting through an institution’s parameters like the radio, it’s to inspire. If you create an exchange between you and your fans like that, we simplify everything.”
