There is a rap God.
The hip hop community has seen a lot of beloved groups come into our lives, give us amazing music and eventually call it quits. It’s been hard to watch groups such as Run DMC, Outkast and even duos like Rakim and Eric B. dismantle over the years. Every so often, some groups decide to put aside their differences and cater to the fans for old times sake. One group that rose to popularity in the late 2000s has decided to give it another shot and their fans are ecstatic.
The Cool Kids are getting back together
The beloved rap duo, The Cool Kids, have been broken up for almost 5 years now, leaving fans devastated. After some thought, Chuck Inglish took to his Twitter to write, “I called Mikey and realized nothing would feel better than us being the originators again. The Cool Kids are back forreal. The Hiatus is over. We missed being us. We refuse to let people down and not be the actual group. We been through too much.”
Sir Michael Rocks confirmed it on social media as well
Michael took to Twitter to confirm that the group was back together by promoting his upcoming solo project. He captioned a photo of the cover by writing, “So looks like this will be my final solo project for awhile.” He continued, “Everything else can wait. The world is f**kin’ trippin’ right now. I just want s**t to feel good again.”
The group confirmed their breakup back in 2012
The Cool Kids confirmed that they were no longer working together back in 2012 and fans were upset to learn of the news. The two went on to pursue their own solo careers, but of course, it just didn’t feel the same to the loyal fanbase at the time.
