Post Malone knows the feeling
Tekashi 69 was recently accused of ruining Yams Day by starting a fight backstage. Obviously, the people who made that accusation weren’t aware that no one wants to put hands on the “Gummo” rapper, period. We found out that out for certain when 6ix9ine tried to stage dive into a packed crowd and ended up eating floor instead.
The video of the flop, which was shot from the stage, shows the rapper gearing up for a stage dive in front of a crowd full of raised phones. When he flings himself off the stage, the rainbow rapper realized pretty quickly that he was falling toward the biblical Red Sea. They parted so quickly that the only freedom that Tekashi found was the half-second before he met the ground.
For his part, the rapper seems to be in good spirits about the whole thing. He sarcastically commended the crowd for keeping it real and posted the embarrassing video to his own Instagram.
“LMAOOOOOOOO 😭😭😭 I FOUNDDDDDDDD ITTTTTT ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️” he wrote. “One of the best moments of my life tbh no fake love they kept it real 😤❤️🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 ”
Yams Day Rumors
Tekashi vehemently denied that he started the brawl that shut down Yams Day, posting a video of himself hustling out of the venue along with the crowd after things went left.
In a since-deleted post, the controversial rapper said that people wanted it to be him at the center of the chaos, but it simply wasn’t true. “Ya will never see a video of me getting touched,” he wrote in the caption. “Ya want something bad to happen to me so bad.”
A second video posted to Instagram Live found the New York rapper elaborating on why he would never bust up Yams Day. He has too much respect for the A$AP Mob.
“I’m perfectly fine. That had nothing to do with me. It’s crazy, you know what I’m saying, the amount of hate that just goes around in this world, man,” he said. “Yams didn’t deserve that. It was a charity event, you know what I’m saying, for Yams’ family. That had nothing to do with me… I wasn’t in no fight. My hair is still laced, this perm. I got into no altercation… You can see my face. I wasn’t shot, I wasn’t stabbed. Stop making up stories.”
He also said that there’s no bad blood between himself and the A$AP Mob.
“I have so much respect for the A$AP Mob,” he said. “And me and Rocky spoke and it was nothing but love, you know what I’m saying? It’s bigger than me. Rest in peace A$AP Yams and the hate needs to stop. This world is full of hate… This is not about Tekashi 6ix9ine. This is about A$AP Yams.”

Tekashi has been at the center of much more controversial incidents than the Yams Day fight, of course. He recently pleaded guilty to several counts of felony misconduct with a child after several photos of him with a nude 14-year-old girl made their way around the internet.
Tekashi maintains that the photos were not sexual and were part of a planned marketing campaign. He also said that he did not know the girl’s age when they shot the photos.
