It's a tragedy that shouldn't have happened
Far too many Americans die from gunshot wounds. Around 12,000 people are killed in gun-related homicides each year because gun regulations allow people to purchase weapons very easily. Ayana’s death is an unfortunate tragedy, and sadly, she may not be the only victim of the gunman. As of now, the perpetrator of this heinous crime remains at large.
Ayana McAllister was a gorgeous 18-year-old woman who attended Saint Augustine’s University in North Carolina. Her family lived in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, and that’s where she went for her spring break.
On Monday, March 20 she took a 40 minute trip down to Washington D.C. to have some fun.
Ayana went to see her friends make a rap video in the northeastern area of the capital city. Everything seemed just fine, until someone messed up the peaceful night with an incredible display of violence.
In the 4300 block of Benning Road around 8:30 PM, an unknown assailant pulled a gun out and started shooting wildly. His target and motive are a mystery. He got away and is still on the run.
This mysterious attacker took one life and wounded others with his depraved behavior.
