Soulja's in trouble again
Soulja Boy is getting sued by his chauffeur after putting the driver in a video without their permission. According to The Blast, Kamilah Daily is suing the rapper for unspecified damages after he had a bad experience carrying Soulja and his crew around Las Vegas last February.
The footage ended up in Soulja Boy’s video for “Bling,” and the driver is livid. Soulja Boy attempted to have the case thrown out, but a judge ruled that the rapper did use Daily’s likeness without his permission.
The driver explained his motivation for suing to The Blast. He said that the video has affected his career negatively.
“I am a private person, so I have kept quiet about this whole legal matter with Soulja Boy. This video has circulated throughout social media outlets and was requested to be taken down,” he said. “The video originally was taken down off one of his YouTube accounts but keeps being reposted over and over again. I have driven A-list celebrities and their families and I never had to go through anything like this with them or had problems.”
Soulja Boy doesn’t have many friends left in his corner. His brother John Way made headlines after dropping a diss track that accused the “Crank Dat” rapper of leaving his family behind.
Way said the his famous brother abandoned his mother even as he continued to make gobs of money. Soulja was unapologetic about the decision.
“She a crackhead and he live with his dad he not in the hood they looking for a come up f**k them,” he wrote on Twitter.
He went into a bit of a deeper explanation after seeing the backlash to his comments. He also subtly told the internet to mind its business.
“If you gave ur mom a 100,000 and she spent it in a week. You would be mad too. It’s a long story,” he said. “F**k people that don’t appreciate you.”

If that wasn’t enough, he’s made enemies in the music industry as well. He famously beefed with R&B singer Chris Brown. The social media spat got so bad that the pair decided to settle the grudge with a boxing match.
The whole thing was ridiculous on its face, especially since Chris Brown has half a foot and plenty of pounds on the one-time viral rapper. And it seems like Soulja realized this after the fact, because Brown shared that he had the whole fight set up and Soulja failed to show.
“No need for me to disrespect this person any further,” Brown said in a comment on a Baller Alert post. “He’s hyped up as well as the issue.”
“The opportunity to embarrass and do harm to him isn’t even funny anymore,” he added. “I backed out of the public fight because the money/location and the fact that the real promoters were spooked by ‘GANGMEMBERS’ who wanted to profit off of it. No charity and no point in going through wit it.”
If that wasn’t enough, Brown said that he came up with a solution and DeAndre chickened out.
“I set up a private gym and he didn’t show up,” he said. “So. There is nothing more to say. It’s not gone happen and we really know the truth here. Love.”
