Say no to violence.
Two of Cali’s most influential figures in rap are taking matters into their own hands in hopes of instilling positivity within their communities. Snoop Dogg, a well-known Crip member, and The Game, a well-known Blood member, joined forces recently to minimize the outpour of violence in the streets of L.A. With violence ranking at an all-time high, Cali’s favorite stars are working side-by-side to reduce the level of gang activity in the city.
The Game and Snoop Host “Gang Summit”
A week after engaging in a peaceful demonstration with Los Angeles police, The Game and Snoop are aiming to cut down gang violence. This past Sunday (July 17), the two rappers hosted an event called “Time To Unite: United Hoods + Gangs Nation.”
Game and Snoop’s event was held at a South L.A. community center and included members of the Bloods, Crips, and other gangs. The mission was to gather as many gang members as possible and peacefully speak on ways to help restore peace in conflicted neighborhoods.
The Game’s Invitation
The Game chimed in on Instagram and encouraged gang leaders to take part in a conversation to help bring hope to a forlorn city in need of dire help.
“I want to extend the invitation to all […] GANG LEADERS from every hood in our city as well as the surrounding cities […] to have the much needed conversation amongst ourselves about our influence on the youth in our respective neighborhoods & how we can serve as better role models to them & the brothers we stand beside daily,”
