The Power of Prayer
Following his intense health scare before the weekend, Ricky Rozay fans are getting some good news. After a little under a week in the hospital, Rick Ross is reportedly comfy in his home. According to TMZ‘s sources, the “Purple Lamborghini” rapper “went home in the wee hours of Monday morning” and is getting cared for at his house.
The rap mogul gave everyone a scare Friday (March 2), after reports that he was rushed to the hospital hit the internet. TMZ broke the story, reporting that Ross was “slobbing out the mouth” and unresponsive.
According to the outlet, a frantic person called 911 from Ross’ Miami home around three in the morning on Thursday (March 1), saying that Ross was having trouble breathing alongside not responding when they attempted to wake him. Referring to him as a “man in distress,” the caller added that he had a history of seizures.
Though Ross reportedly became combative when he came to, he made it to the hospital via ambulance in time to be treated. News on what the rapper was treated for varies, with some claiming he was treated for respiratory issues (possible pneumonia) and others claiming that his treatment was heart-related.
Meanwhile, “a family member strongly denied Rick was hospitalized,” according to TMZ. However, reports steadily become more grave, getting as serious as the rapper being hooked up to a machine that took over the function of his lungs and heart.
Regardless, social media was filled with praying hands emojis for the rapper, as fellow celebs sent out well-wishes. “Prayers up for my guy Rick Ross 🙏🏿 hope you pull thru my brotha,” P. Diddy tweeted, alongside Ciara, who wrote, “Praying For #RickRoss 🙏🏽.” “Prayers up for @RickRoss 🙏🏾,” Miami basketball player Udonis Haslem added. “Straight up man!! Prayers up to the homie @RickRoss 🙏🏾,” LeBron James chimed in.
“Everyone pray for my buddy @RickRoss to get well soon!” Gucci Mane posted. Missy Elliot also took to Twitter, writing, “I BELIEVE in the Power of Prayer Sending Prayers up for Rick Ross🙏🏾.” “Sending love and prayers up for Rick Ross and his family. Stay encouraged stay strong,” LL Cool J added.
Many other stars, in combination with numerous fans, showed Rick Ross support while he was in the hospital.
When MMG artist Fa Trel gave an update, it was much appreciated. “JUS TALKED 2 MY BIG HOMIE… HE GOOD,” Trel wrote on Instagram. “HE IN DA HOSPITAL BUT HE IS NOT ON ‘LIFE SUPPORT’ … HE GOOD💯💯💯.”
Now that Ross is back at home, this will be one of the last health scares fans get from Ross in a while. After his appearance on Dr. Oz’s talk show, Ross seemed to be taking his health more seriously.
“One day, I was on a flight and, I just remember my buddy coming to get me, like, ‘Get up, homie, you just had a seizure. Let’s go. We got to get off the plane,’” the rapper said back in 2011. “And I’m like, ‘No… I don’t feel like I had one.’ So I actually got on the phone, called my private jet guy, 45 minutes later, after getting off a commercial flight, I was aboard in a private plane. I boarded a private plane. An hour into the flight, soon as I fell asleep, I had another seizure.”
The Rather You Than Me artist said that the scare proved to be a major wake up call for him, inspiring him to turn his life around. Send Ross some love in the comments and SHARE this article.
