I think it’s pretty safe to say that most rappers look up to gangsters. With hardcore lyrics, they to embody their favorite mobster or gangster. Rick Ross named a slew of them on his second single, “Blowin’ Money Fast.”
In music, some rappers fake the funk by putting on a tough persona, while others actually live or have lived that life. And those rappers are like candy and the police are kids in the candy store. From threatening to kill the mall’s security to beating and strangling a woman, these rappers were on the run from the law at one time, or three, in their lives.
He’s been accused of being one of the reasons Justin Bieber was getting into mad trouble a while back. But Lil Twist had his own legal issues to deal with. In 2014, he was arrested for robbing and beating up Nickelodeon star Chris Massey who happens to be the older brother of Disney star Kyle Massey. Twist was hit with six charges including making criminal threats, burglary, grand theft and battery. In 2015, he was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. If convicted, Twist faces up to 25 years or more.
In 2014, this Three 6 Mafia member was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic assault and charged with possession of cocaine in Minnesota. After skipping court dates, he has three felony warrants that carried nationwide extradition before he was caught and sent to jail then freed.
Last year, Thugger had a warrant out for his arrest after he threatened to kill a mall security officer who escorted him from Perimeter Mall in Atlanta. Authorities raided his house following the “terroristic threats” charge. On top of that, he had guns and drugs were found. Thugger was then hit with marijuana and cocaine drug felonies and three counts of felony gun possession.
