The President is here
Pusha T is no stranger to using his voice and status to speak on different issues, but this time, he’s getting much more active. The G.O.O.D. Music President is passionate about raising awareness about the prison industry complex and all of it’s troubles. Pusha T is teaming up with another major artist to spread their messages across the country. They are here to stand up for a cause that affects millions of people every day.
Pusha is heading on the road with Ty Dolla $ign
The rapper and the singer are teaming up to hit the road for their #SchoolsNotPrisons starting next month. The two have an important message to spread as they perform for seven different cities throughout the state of California.
The duo hopes to bring awareness to the costs of incarceration and push youths to spark change in the prison system through political engagement and peaceful activism. According to reports, California now has 22 new prisons and has increased the spending in correctional facilities by 1,500 percent since 1980.
Tons of other artists are set to join the tour
However, Pusha T and Ty Dolla won’t be hitting the road by themselves as they are slated to be joined by other names. Fans will be able to also catch latin singer and songwriter Ceci Bastida, latin band La Santa Cecilia, Maryland singer Gallant and The Fugees’ John Forte on the tour.
