Check out the cast of 'Love And Hip Hop: Miami.'
Love and Hip Hop casts always come in three tiers: one-time stars with several hits to their name, background industry types who have had some success and no-names looking to come up via the power of Mona Scott. The newest iteration of the unkillable VH1 franchise is no different. When the show heads to Miami it will be the same mix of old-timers, schemers and hangers-on that made the show work in other cities.
Trick Daddy posted a clip of the upcoming 305-based season to his Instagram, and it looks like we should all start picking faves now. There’s no way this show will let us down with this cast of characters.
At the top of the bill we have the king and queen of Slip N’ Slide, Trick Daddy and Trina. Slightly under them but still in the royal court of the Miami offshoot is Gunplay. And a little bit below that we have Pretty Ricky, who have reunited recently and will feature heavily on the show. In the background industry type tier, we have producer Young Hollywood and promoter Prince. In the unknown tier, we have Steph Lecor, Amara La Negra, Bobby Lytes Veronica Vega and stylist Jojo Zarur.
The series is set to drop in January. According to HipHopDX, each artist will have their own dramatic narratives to work through. Trick is going through a divorce, Pretty Ricky’s Pleasure P will deal with his relationship with Shay Johnson. Gunplay will be dealing with the drama of an ex suddenly reappearing in his life while he’s in a committed relationship.
On the music side, Trina will be working on her album The One. Though “Da Baddest B*tch” is guaranteed for her fair share of drama, if recent events are any indication.
The rapper recently went off on Khia and Kim B RocsMics after the two MCs came for her on social media.
“Y’all h*es gonna respect my motherf*cking name,” she said in a fiery video, responding to the two women taking shots at her in rapid succession. “I’m gonna make you bow down and kiss my motherf*cking feet, y’all buma** h*es. I paved the way for you to even speak in Miami…Don’t even talk about my name without saying ‘Ms.'”
She also challenged Kim B to a fight and clowned her when she didn’t show up.
“I told you to meet me where I told you to come. You ain’t show up…All that sh*t you was talking but you ain’t show up,” she said. “We was in the street waiting. Why you ain’t show up?”
That’s the sort of talk that makes for a good reality show. Trina’s real as hell and that’s bound to cause a few drinks to get thrown. She’s only one aspect of the cast. Get hyped.
