Where's the beef?
For the most part, the beef between Meek Mill and Drake is completely done; they, and their fans, are both over it. It feels like forever ago we were talking about the Meek Mill and Drake beef at it’s peak, but it’s only been a little over a year… just in time for some more of the truth to come out.
Recently Meek Mill sat down, looked back on the diss-filled times and opened up about what really started the whole thing. He had an interesting reason for why he took jabs at Drizzy in the first place, and you’ll want to check it out.
Meek sat down to do an interview with Ebro Darden and Laura Stylez from Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning. He talked about how he didn’t even really know how to handle the whole situation in the first place.
“I was out of control at that point, the way I was coming at everybody… I offended a lot of people at that point… I think I could have approached things better, but it is what it is,” he said.
Squashing the Beef?
Ebro then goes on to ask the rapper if he’ll ever actually have a conversation with Drake. He responded, “I’ve seen people that have shot at me before. We got in the club like ‘Yo you almost killed me that day, it was crazy. You shot 50 shots, you hit the car 20 times.’ It wasn’t always like that for a long time, but you grow up, what you gonna do? I ain’t die.”
He goes on to say that he would probably talk to Drake one day, but he’s unsurprisingly not interested in having that conversation right now. However, he did say that he knows he got himself into the whole conflict, so he’s going to try to get himself out.
When he was asked about how random his shots at Drake seemed, he said that his addiction to lean was out of control at the time. “I off the sh*ts,” he said referring to the addiction. You can check out the full video for yourself.
