He finally speaks.
From trash talking to multimillion dollar lawsuits and prolonged album releases, this drama between Wayne and Baby a.k.a Birdman seems to be never-ending. Their relationship has become so strained that every time Wayne performs, he makes it a point to scream “F**k Cash Money” at the end of his shows. Crazily, Baby doesn’t feel the same way, but after what he’s done.
Wayne has taken the beef so far that he dropped hints of retiring. Well, that’s what fans have been assuming ever since he took to Twitter with cryptic tweets saying he was “dun.” We’re confused. Baby’s latest interview has fans hoping that they’ll work together again, while Wayne continually pops shots at CMR. So, what’s really the deal? Well, Wayne has finally set the record straight—on his end.
Wayne Talks Retirement
Last night, Wayne appeared on FS1’s Undisputed—the show he did the intro song for with Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe—and talked about the situation. He told them he recently got into an argument and that his retirement tweets were a result of that.
“I was at my tipping point [because of] an argument because of what’s going on,” he said before continuing. “This is business. Once business is involved, I have a family, I have kids, I have a mother, and we’ve got bills. This is business so once the business is right, then everything is right. So I did feel that way and I didn’t take the tweet down because I said I still feel that way. And until something is done about it, maybe it’ll change.”
And that’s not all. When asked if he’d ever work with Baby again, this is what he said…
Shannon Sharpe asked the rapper if the money was right, would he consider working with Birdman again.
“No, sir,” he said without hesitating. Wayne explained the drama is about nothing more than wanting what he’s owed. “Give me mine and I’ll walk off free, smiling.” He also reiterated that he’s not looking for any sympathy because he is “too blessed.”
This news came as a shock to fans who were wishing Birdman and Weezy would reconcile after Baby’s plea to make amends.
Baby Wants To Make It Right
Birdman went on ESPN’s Cari Champion’s Be Honest and admitted that he wants the beef with Wayne to end. He said that the rapper is still his son, and even though Wayne said a lot of things Baby doesn’t agree with, he would never do the same.
“I wouldn’t be a man if I could say somebody my son and speak down on him. That’s not a man. I look at him as my son and I won’t finish the game without Wayne even if he stay with me or go do whatever he wanna do. I respect him as a son and um, I’ma fix it,” he said.
