When Lil Pump said “Gucci gang, Gucci gang, Gucci gang/ Spend 10 racks on a new chain,” fans felt that. So much so that the song went on to top the Billboard Hot 100.
Well, now… Lil Pump is saying something different. Though there are little-to-no background details behind this now-deleted Instagram video, the short clip offered enough. At first, the video simply shows a gang of police officers gathered in the rapper’s hotel room. It then switches to Lil Pump addressing one officer directly, saying, “You kickin’ me out a hotel for being racist and ugly.”
As the officer Pump was speaking to blocked his face from the camera, Pump then proceeded to roast him, saying, “You big ugly a–. You got a big a– gut. You like 65. Yo tapeline went back.” While the other officers shown in the video don’t laugh, laughter erupts from a group sounding to stand behind Pump.
This random and un-detailed run in with the law is not the first of its kind. Just last month, the “Boss” rapper tweeted about an altercation between him and the men in uniform without giving a ton of details. Luckily, there was a video though. While riding together in Los Angeles, Lil Pump and Smokepurpp were spotted by some fans.
Possibly for the admirers entertainment, the two south Florida natives yelled “Esketit” and “Gucci Gang” at nearby police officers. The fans not only recorded the stars yelling at the cops, but they also caught Pump and Smokepurpp being pulled over and handcuffed.
Afterwards, Pump didn’t give fans much to go off of. What he did do was joke about making his fame work for him. “The cop pulled me over & I told him ‘B–ch, it’s Lil Pump’ & he let me go,” he wrote on Twitter.
An altercation that yielded a few more supporting details was the spat between Pump and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. (Yes, you read that right.) Pump is into it with the Roman Catholic Church in the state of California… kind of.
Apparently, Catholics don’t like when “inappropriate” rappers film “inappropriate” music videos for “inappropriate” songs on site at a private school. (Even if a few people say it’s probably Jesus Christ’s favorite banger. Who knew?)
After filming the “Gucci Gang” music video at Blessed Sacrament School, the private institution got ear full from the Archdiocese of LA for failing to get approval before giving Pump the green light to bring weed and a live tiger onto the grounds.
The Archdiocese is investing the filming. So, really, the school’s leaders are in a spat with the Archdiocese for letting Pump pull up to the school in a Lamborghini with his hands full, holding a blunt and double-cup, without permission from the high ups. It may also be safe to assume that the Archdiocese didn’t know 17-year-old Pump was going to film himself sharing purple drank with his classmates and physically assaulting a teacher with bags of weed.
As for Pump’s most recent altercation with authority figures… The “D Rose” rapper has not addressed the video — shown above — or his comments yet. So, no one knows why he and his group were getting kicked out of the hotel or which hotel he was in.
The star did perform in Massachusetts Saturday (Nov. 9) night though. Alongside Lou The Human, the concert was held at The Palladium in Worcester.
