He's a free man!
If you’ve been wondering why Kodak Black hasn’t been on the scene lately, popping up in pictures or working on new music, that’s because he was busy being in jail. But, as it turns out, Kodak is better behaved in jail than he is outside of it. So, instead of serving the 364 days he was sentence, he was released in 97.
Kodak will soon be back on the street, but it’ll be a long road before he’s fully free.
A Long Road
If you can’t remember why Kodak Black was in jail in the first place, you’re not alone. His multiple arrests have taken a pretty long road, and it seems like every time he’s about to be back on the good side of the law, something else happens.
The Root of It All
Kodak Black, whose real name is Dieuson Octave, was first arrested after he pled no contest to the following: Robbery, false imprisonment, fleeing from police, and firearm possession. Instead of the potential 55 years that he could have received, he managed to get a plea deal and was sentenced to a year of house arrest.
Gotta Get Out
Although Kodak could have served his house arrest time and been done with it, he must have had a hard time coping with being bogged down.
He violated his house arrest for very “important” reasons, including going to a strip club. When he was caught, he was sentenced to 364 days in prison as a result. Goodbye, freedom!
