First he was sour, now he's sweet
Kanye is often considered an a**hole. And he was described as exactly that when he claimed that he “birthed” Kid Cudi during a response rant at one of his shows. Last week, Kid Cudi lashed out at both Kanye and Drake on Twitter, calling them fake and corny. Kanye was very disturbed when he got the news while he was on his Saint Pablo tour.
“Kid Cudi, don’t ever mention ‘Ye name! I birthed you!” Kanye screamed. “Respect the God!” After a few days of calming down, Kanye is reeling back what he said in front of thousands of people in his audience.
Cudi Gets In His Feelings
Last week, Kid Cudi took to Twitter and flooded timelines with shots to Kanye and Drake.
“I keep silent because I dont ever wanna come off like some angry hater, but today, not only do I feel fantastic, Im feelin like taking over. I already have. My tweets apply to who they apply. Ye, Drake, whoever. These n****s dont give a f**k about me. And they aint f**kin with me. N****s keep you close when they see how powerful you are by yourself,” he said somewhere in between a series of tweets.
At first, fans were so confused. The rant came out of left field and didn’t launch from a known beef between the rappers. But once Ye responded, reports circulated that Cudi was pissed because Kanye enlisted Drake to collaborate on an album. Cudi’s tweets were super passionate and very emotional. Now looking back on them, you can tell his feelings were truly hurt. But Kanye wasn’t steadin’ about hurt feelings. He totally sonned Cudi in his response.
Drake and Kanye Clap Back
Drake slyly responded with the infamous words of rapper O.T. Genasis. “Boy, you getting way too high, you need to Cud-it,” he rapped during his Summer Sixteen show. But it was Ye’s response that made everyone’s mouths dropped. Here’s the full response:
“Kid Cudi, don’t ever mention ‘Ye name! I birthed you! We all dealing with that emo sh*t all the time: Me, Pat, Don C. Don’t ever mention ‘Ye name. Don’t try to say who I can do songs with. You mad ’cause I’m doing songs with Drake. Can’t nobody telling ‘Ye who to do songs with! Respect the God!”
You could hear by the tone of Kanye’s voice that he was almost at his angriest ever. He admitted that he felt disrespected. But he’s had a change of heart. During another show, he ate his words up and pretty much extended an olive branch…
