The tension just won't let up
Drake has been giving his New York fans life for the past week as he’s been doing his tour stops in the Big Apple. The Toronto rapper had four shows Madison Square Garden this past week, and each one has been more intense than the last. Drizzy has been brewing up a beef with Hot 97 over the last week, and things seemed to come to a head last night during his last show. Now, there is speculation that Drake might be prepping up a diss track at Funkmaster Flex.
Drake and Flex have been going back and forth all week
At his first New York City show last week, Drake addressed Hot 97 while talking to the crowd. He told them that he would only come to the station for an interview in the future if they fired Funk Flex. The two have had tension between them for some time after Flex was the one who leaked the Drake reference tracks performed by Quentin Miller.
The rapper keeps shading the station at his concerts
Drizzy hasn’t been holding his tongue during his concerts and has been coming at the station heavily. There was even a rumor that he yelled “F**k Hot 97” at one of his concerts, but, fortunately, that was misheard by some audience members who reported it to Complex. The site retracted the reports the following morning.
Last night, he called his tour stage the “new Summer Jam”
During his last show at the Garden, Drake brought out many special guests for the crowd, including Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, Fat Joe and Remy Ma. The New York City fans were going crazy over the surprises, which led Drizzy to deem his Summer Sixteen stage as “the new Summer Jam.” He even said called out Hot 97, asking what had they done for New York lately.
