Here’s How To Tell Migos Apart

Migos truly gives the culture the best of both worlds. The large, blinged-out chains and the quick tempers, as synomous with the classic rapper persona, make up only one side of the group; on the other side, they are intellectual and have a thoughtful outlook on the world around them. Apart of a new wave of hip hop’s ever-changing sound, Migos, frankly, gives their fans life.

Originally named Polo Club, the group renamed themselves Migos after Polo Ralph Lauren went out of style. They released Juug Season, their first mixtape, in 2011 then followed up with their second mixtape No Label in 2012. Their debut single, the song that really put them on the map from the underground world, “Versace” was released in 2015, followed by their first album Yung Rich Nation.

Their second studio album, Culture, came out in January of this year, and because Migos always gives fans exactly what they need, the album went Platinum. The Recording Industry Association of America said so after it sold over one million copies physically and digitally.

Straight out of Lawrenceville, Georgia, the Migos are connected in business and family. Offset and Quavo are cousins; Takeoff is Quavo’s nephew; they all grew up together in the same house. Sometimes, in families with strong genes, it can be hard to tell the members apart. No worries… Hiphopmyway got you.
