Where's the beef?
The beef between Freddie Gibbs and Jeezy seemed like it was all over; however, we all know how that usually goes. Gibbs was recently on the talk show Desus and Mero, and he started to wonder why the hosts were skipping over questions about Jeezy. The two have had beef for quite a few years now, and while many people thought it was over, we’ve got a different perspective.
Jeezy and his former boss don’t really get along anymore; Gibbs made that pretty clear. He emphasized how he doesn’t have any issues with Jeezy because of the fact that he doesn’t respect him as a man.
Jeezy is a 39-year-old rapper from South Carolina, and he’s been around the block a few times. The 34-year-old Freddie Gibbs on the other hand is from Indiana, and he’s not quite as popular as Jeezy is. Regardless, the two have beef that needs settling!
“Ain’t no beef, man,” Gibbs said. “It’s gotta be beef when there’s two real muthaf**kas in the equation. When there’s one muthaf**ka, it’s just like pssh. P***y ass n***a. I’ll whoop yo ass, n***a. F**k with me. F**k Jeezy. Bitch ass n***a.”
We’re out of asterisks! That’s quite the insult, but he makes an interesting point when he tries to say there isn’t any beef, because there’s beef. He’s slinging insults left and right in this one and we can’t wait for Jeezy to get a hold of him. Maybe we can get a Floyd Mayweather vs Connor McGregor type fight out of this? Who knows!
The beef has gone back and forth for a while now; we all remember how Jeezy claimed that Gibbs ruined his relationship with Emiem. Gibbs even had a few diss tracks for the nonsense. He seems like he’s being a little light-hearted in the interview, but we still think it should be taken seriously.
The two used to be closer than they are now, and we think that’s where the best kind of beef comes from. One of the greatest diss tracks of all time “No Vaseline” came from Ice Cube at his former friends of N.W.A. On the other hand, Drake and Meek Mill never really liked each other, but they also produced some of the better diss tracks of the decade.
