Are Mena Mondays coming back?
Mona Scott-Young is the Don Corleone of reality TV, pulling back people who thought they were out long ago. Reports have Erica Mena floating back into the Love & Hip Hop family. Even though Mena bounced on the franchise years ago at the behest of then-boo Bow Wow, The Jasmine Brand is reporting via unnamed sources that Mena is back in the mix.
“She said she would never return to the show, but she’s back,” they told the gossip website. “They even threw her a party in Atlanta – on camera of course – to celebrate her official return to the show and welcome her to the A.”
The whisperers also added that Mena’s original decision to leave the show had quite a bit to do with her former boo. Mena ultimately made the decision, but it seems like Shad Moss had more than a bit of influence on the whole situation. Even though Bow Wow was himself a reality TV show star, he found LHH to be trashy.
“He thought it was ghetto and beneath her. It just wasn’t a good look, as far as he was concerned,” the source said.
But now that that whole deal is decidedly out of the way, it seems like Mena Mondays might be making a comeback.
Ready to Go
In spite of her time away, Mena has no rust on her drama-starters or fight-settlers. Even without the cameras, Mena showed no reluctance to put paws on anyone who stepped to her. She recently came to almost-blows with another Love & Hip Hop cast member named Zell Swag, not to mention that video surfaced of her fighting a grown man outside of a nightclub in Atlanta.
Check out our recap of that particular tiff for a bit of insight into how Mena gets down:
“He passes by her and appears to shove her slightly although he says, “Don’t touch me.” She replies, “Alright then, back the f**k up.” He did eventually back up and took his hands off of her, but his little dig to her made her lash out.
The man says, “This is what I’m talking about with dumb a*s f**king hoes…” There’s hardly a woman alive who would let that go without some kind of clap back, but Erica did more than that; she gave him a punch back.
It’s hard to see where her fists of fury landed, but she definitely tried to get him in the face. The ladies filming are obviously on her side as their fight devolves into more verbal punches.”
If that wasn’t enough to let you know that Mena belongs on LHH, there’s another compelling reason: her ability to fight over nothing. Instagram comedian TravQue found out that Mena doesn’t play when he tried his “Now, walk away from me” prank on the former TV star.
She cuffed him in the back of the head for his troubles. Check out that video up top and let us know if you think Mena deserves a spot back in the Monaverse.
What do you think? Is Mena coming back? Should she? How do you think she’ll vibe with the current Atlanta cast? And do you think it’s a good career move for Mena to return to her old stomping grounds or was Bow Wow right to warn her away? Sound off in the comments and be sure to SHARE this article.
