Everyone loves DMX’s “Weed, Hoes, Dough,” a millennial classic. X raps:
That’s what we smokin up
That’s what we pokin up
That’s what we foldin up
That’s all we know about”
Well, DMX for sure knows a bit more than he’s letting on, but now that he’s kicking off the High Life Festival, you’re going to want to put Ryde or Die on repeat. X reveals that smoking sparks his creativity, so if you love smoking and topnotch hip hop, you’re not going to want to miss the High Life Festival. Here’s everything you need to know.
The High Life Music Festival is a two day celebration “of the best Hip Hop and medical marijuana.” It highlights the best growers, breeders, extract artists and edible chefs that California has to offer. And if if you haven’t tried that Cali weed, are you really an American?
And if you’re a grower, put your green on the table. There will be a showdown for the BEST flower in the U.S. Anyone who is of age (ehem) and a registered grower (eeeeeehhem) can enter to throw down with the best. Register and bring 56 grams of your best and see where you measure up.
But the music tho…
The Festival takes place September 24 and 25.
DMX will be headlining Saturday the 24, for sure laying down all of your favorite old and new classics. Nipsey Hussle will be backing him up (we can only hope he brings hottie Lauren London). And hip hop maestro Too Short will be joining on stage as well.
Then, for all you old school fans, Sunday is going to be out of control…
Rick Ross, Waka Flocka and Bone Thugs
Sunday, September 25, High Life Festival main stage: Rick Ross, Waka Flocka AND Bone Thugs N Harmony will be tearing it down. If you are a fan of old school and you miss this, then fools on you. It’s hard to rival hip hop classics like these that paved the way for everything that is going on in the biz today, so you are going to want to get out there.
And there’s a whole bevy of others that will be taking the stage, so take your pick: Berner, Lil Debbie, Stake Maloley, Ohno, E40, Chanel West Coast, Flip Major and others. Fix on who you can’t miss, but don’t forget to roll a FAT ONE.
And VIPs, check out what’s next…
