J. Cole recently had a documentary come out on HBO and it opened some questions about his past. One specific incident was the time his house got broken into by police officers. A lot of people will be quick to blame it on the cops and say it was too much, but what was really going on? Find out!
J. Cole was actually born in Germany, but he grew up in North Carolina. He had some rough times, and the 32-year-old was looking back on them recently. A song on his work 4 Your Eyez Only titled “Neighbors” detailed the time a SWAT team broke into one of his studios for a drug raid.
The situation was no doubt scary, and you’ll be able to see that for yourself. The footage was captured by a security camera and we can see the officer kicking in the door clearly. The situation apparently got started because they were on a drug raid, but were drugs even involved in the situation? You’d be surprised…
Surprisingly enough there were actually no drugs in the house. The house was being used as a recording studio, where J. Cole actually recorded 4 Your Eyez Only. He calls it “The Sheltuh,” but it didn’t do a very good job of sheltering them from the aggressive SWAT team.
