‘GUHHA’ Episode 4 Recap
Bow Wow’s biological father, Alfonso Moss, is causing drama for the rapper. Brandon could have possibly destroyed Ayana’s relationship. Zonnique fires Tiny as her manager. Looks like the series is committing to the drama. Keep reading for a recap of this week’s episode and a sneak peek of what’s to come this season on Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta.
I am your father!
Bow can’t catch a break. His return to Atlanta has been filled with drama and the hits keep on coming. Alfonso Moss, father to Bow Wow, took to social media against his son, posting a picture of Jermaine Dupri and Bow Wow with the caption “He’s not your Daddy! I AM.” To which Bow replied, “If you were a father, I’d treat you like one.”
Bow hasn’t spoken to his father in years because he believes his father put alcohol over being a dad. He seems to have no intention on reconciling with his dad at all. “That sh*t don’t do nothing but push me f***ing further and further away!” says Bow. As a new father himself, is he causing more destruction in his family? Deb [Antney] seems to think so.
Always In The Middle
Brandon took it upon himself to set up time to hang out with his cousin Ayana’s “girlfriend” Amy. In support of his cousin, he wanted to find out exactly where Amy’s head was when it came to a commitment to Ayana. Seems sincere but also unsolicited.
During a game of pool, Brandon asks Amy what she and his cousin are doing. Ayana had expressed to Brandon that she loves Amy and wants to be with Amy, but he is sensing Amy doesn’t feel the same.
He says to Amy that she “turned Ayana out” and that now he’s worried for his younger cousin. “Let’s just let me and Ayana be me and Ayana. I don’t want to be questioned about it,” Amy responds, shutting Brandon down. Brandon thinks Ayana should break up with Amy, but is that his call? Has he possibly ruined love for his cousin?
Meeting with Deb
Taking her career into her own hands, Zonnique meets with Deb to discuss options on making the career changes she needs. Deb tells her that from what she has heard of her music, she [Zonnique] should have been out already. When Zonnique tells Deb she has a lot of unreleased music, Deb kept it 100 with her. “You’re spoiled!” Deb says. Finally, someone has had the guts to say it!
Because Zonnique is the daughter of Tiny and the step daughter of T.I., people assume she is in the business because of nepotism. She must work three times harder than anyone else to be taken seriously as an artist. This truth brought Zonnique to tears but sometimes the truth hurts.
Deb agrees to help Zonnique, after she steps away from the shadows of Tiny and T.I. Zonnique agrees but is terrified at the thought of ruining the relationship she has with her mother.
