The hip hop community could have lived without these bars
Rap music is the heart and soul of hip hop, making rapping a true art form. Rappers give themselves the task of providing the hip hop world with bars to make us feel, think, and most importantly, to make us more aware of the world. Rap is relentless, unforgiving, and its always brutally honest. Because of its jagged-edged realness, rap is probably the most equally loved and hated genre of music.
It can be jarring or it can be smooth, but either way, good rap always leaves its listeners feeling the rhythmic beats. Loved for its confidence and candid story telling, there is nothing quite like good rap lyrics.
Not all rappers put tons of dedication and time towards their craft though, and sadly, there’s nothing quite like bad rap lyrics… We’ve compiled some lyrics we really wish were never a “thing.”
Future f/ Lil Wayne “Karate Chop” (2013)
“Beat that p****y up like Emmett Till.” – Lil Wanye
This public punchline sparked outrage from the Till family and the African-American community. Wayne inevitably apologized for the lyric.
Rocko f/ Rick Ross and Future “U.O.E.N.O.” (2013)
“Put Molly all in her champagne/She ain’t even know it/I took her home and I enjoyed that/She ain’t even know it.” – Rick Ross
Even though he swears this lyric isn’t about rape, what else do you call slipping a woman a drug without her knowledge then having sex with her once she’s knocked out cold? Ross ended up apologizing since it cost him a Reebok endorsement deal.
UGK “Pregnant P*ssy” (1992)
“’Cause if she expecting, I can satisfy/And at the same time, give her kid a pacifier/And I love when I bust that old nut/’Cause I know that her baby’s just gon’ lick it up.” – Pimp C
The song “Pregnant P*ssy” is blatantly about having graphic sex with a pregnant woman. Bun B and Pimp C seem hell bent on including this unborn kid in the lewd act! Listen to this one at your own discretion.
