"It’s 2018 a New Me."
When you center a career around sticking your nose in other people’s business, a little backlash comes with the territory. So, rarely does anyone feel bad when 50 Cent makes fun of Wendy Williams.
She was there when Tyrese went through his mental break down, she was there during (the beginning of) T.I. and Tiny’s divorce, and she was there in the midst of Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna’s… thing. Wendy has a comment for everything, but the talk show host doesn’t always have nice things to say. So, 50 made it his business to constantly remind her of what it feels like to have people unnecessarily bash you.
This latest video is the greatest of them all. “Yo gotta love fif no one does it better than him when it comes to this,” declared one fan after watching 50 and Wendy’s reconcile.
Jokes on Jokes
“It’s 2018 a New Me,” the New York native said. In light of that, he’s lengthening his resume.
The rapper-turned-actor-turned-businessman can add now “successful jokester” to his repertoire. He had Instagram, and subsequently the entire internet, in stitches as they watched him and Wendy Williams — who have been at odds since late 2017 after the host talked about 50’s relationship with his 20-year-old son Marquise Jackson — “kiss and make up.”
Earlier today (Jan. 11), 50 shared a video of himself backstage of what looks like The Wendy Williams Show‘s studio. “It was time,” he began in the Instagram clip. “For me to make up with, you know, with Wendy Williams.”
“I know everybody is like ‘what?'” the rapper continued, covering his face to hide his smile. “I might as well go over and say wassup.”
Cool From Now on
“So now you see it. Me and Wendy Williams, we making’ up,” he said, wrapping his arm around a person in chicken suit. Before kissing the side of chicken’s head, the rapper said that “everything is just gon’ be cool from now on.”
“I think I just died,” joked one fan in the post’s comments.
In less than 12 hours, 50’s sarcastic video has gotten over one million views. As usual, no one came to Wendy’s defense. In between laughter, commenters only applauded the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ actor.
“Man had me thinking he really was about to apologize,” wrote one Instagram user. “50 u a fool, but wen u rich and dnt give faf who gonna check you!!!” said another.
Sure, Oprah managed to mesh the hip-hop and talk show worlds with class, but Wendy didn’t follow in her prestigious foot steps. Instead, she gossips about the entire industry and everyone in it. She took it too far for 50’s liking in October 2017.
During one of her shows, Wendy slammed 50 Cent for saying he planned to throw a “child support release party” on Marquise’s birthday that year. In 50’s reply, he called the 53-year-old host “ugly” and commended her husband — whose name was being thrown in several headlines behind cheating rumors — for stepping out on her.
“Wendy williams just told me to get my life together, smh,” the “Candy Shop” rapper captioned his clap-back Instagram post. “Your husband is not a bad man,” he continued under the side-by-side photo of Wendy and Hellboy actor Ron Perlman dressed as Beauty and the Beast‘s beast. “He deserve a side chick for talking to you, you ugly motherf**ker Focus on your own s**t b*tch. Oh yeah we in club LUST tonight your invited.LOL #50centralbet.”
