Meet 50's Special Friend
50 Cent has been making some big strides as an actor. After an impressive showing in SouthPaw, 50 kept the momentum going when he morphed into everyone’s favorite bad guy on Starz’s critically-acclaimed series Power. This past weekend, 50 Cent debuted his special friend for all of America to see. Let’s just say, we definitely weren’t ready for this one AT ALL.
50 Cent shows off his manhood on “Power”
50’s character, Kanan, had no problem showcasing his ego for all of America to see. While he was recovering from a vicious fight, where he was obliterated by his arch-nemesis, Ghost, Kanan was tasked to pleasure himself in order to prove his hands have fully recovered. The assignment was given to him by his cousin’s girlfriend, “Candie,” played by Natalie Paul. There, Kanan let it all hang from there.
50 Cent was on-board for it
In a past interview with TV Guide, 50 explained how the whole thing went down with producers. “I don’t give a f—. First it was supposed to be darker [after footage was edited.] You couldn’t see it on the screen. [A producer ] was like, ‘I gotta show you! When you put it on the screen, you can see it.’ I don’t care.”
Nudity and sex are quite frequent on “Power”
One thing that Power doesn’t run away from at all is the level of nudity it has during its sex scenes. The show’s creator, Courtney Kemp, spoke to TV Guide on the importance of having sex scenes for Power.
“We don’t put a sex scene in unless it pushes story forward,” she says. “In broadcast TV, people start to kiss and then you cut and go to commercial. You didn’t need to see the sex. That the people had sex was the story point. The sex in our show — the actual sexual act and what happens to those people during the sexual act — we always show it so you have to see the sex. It’s about what story is being pushed forward by the sexual act.”
