The city of Flint has been hampered by their water crisis, which has plagued thousands of people. With a multitude of people falling sick due to the contaminated water supply, several big-name rappers are lending a helping hand.

Big Sean and Meek Mill decided to help the city of Flint by donating thousands of dollars to help correct the situation. While he was embroiled in his beef with 50 Cent, Meek Mill placed his skirmish aside to focus on the larger picture. After a fan called out both rappers for beefing during this brutal time, Meek donated $50,000 for the city of Flint out of his own pocket. Big Sean also contributed to his neighboring city, as well.

Big Sean started a CrowdRise campaign and donated $10,000 through his Sean Anderson Foundation.

“I’m raising money to support the kids of Flint Michigan. Toxic water in Flint has rendered the water undrinkable and put the entire city in a state of emergency. Flint’s children were hit the hardest and some have experienced permanent and potentially devastating health defects from lead poisoning.

We know the needs of Flint children exposed to lead, particularly those most vulnerable — children ages 0-6 — are ongoing and long-term.  You can be assured that your gift will be used for critical interventions today and well into the future.

The Sean Anderson Foundation is raising funds on behalf of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint Michigan. Please give what you can, every donation counts. Thanks so much for your support,” writes Sean on the post. If you want to contribute, you may do so on his CrowdRise page.
