Rae Sremmurd doesn’t tickle a lot of people’s fancies. For one, the young bucks aren’t necessarily highly-touted wordsmiths. They won’t astound you with mind-boggling lines or double-time flows, but they will make you turn-up without any difficulty. Their debut endeavor SremmLife was a party-laden album which showcased their ability to pen radio bangers. From “No Flex Zone”, “No Type”, and “Throw Some Mo,” they have mesmerized many with their rudimentary hooks and infectious melodies. Ebro Claims Rae Sremmurd Doesn’t Write Any of Their Lyrics
Every year, Complex curates a top-50 best albums list and they always manage to stir the pot by creating controversy. This year, they vexed a lot of people when they decided to place Rae Sremmurd’s Sremm Life number three over Adele, Justin Bieber, The Game, Fetty Wap, Big Sean, Travis Scott, Future, and more. This certainly baffled Ebro and left him to question the writers of Complex as to why they elected to go with the youngsters over the bevy of veterans that released projects this year. This prompted Ebro to question the writing credibility of the tandem when he claimed that they didn’t allegedly write their own lyrics. The group’s producer Mike-Will Made It defended his artists after Ebro attempted to put a fork in them. Rae Sremmurd Disses Ebro
After the rap tandem received word of Ebro’s verbal assault on their rap credibility, they decided to send a volley of shots towards the HOT 97 captain on Tim Westwood’s show. Of course, they defended themselves and said that they indeed wrote all of the songs on the album. Check it out.
